How do I prepare for the trailer delivery and pickup?
Trailers work best on flat ground placed as close to the trash you want to remove to reduce the labor of loading it. However, we ask you keep a close eye on how our truck and trailer will get to that location. We will not drive through any grass or wet mud to deliver the trailer and if rain is in the forecast we may choose to place the trailer somewhere that will make for a smooth removal.
The trailer is 16′ long (with the tongue) and the truck is another 20′. So the location chosen will have to accommodate a 36′ rig backing in. Be sure to look for trees, mailboxes, and other items that may impede this rig from arriving safely to it’s parking place.
Below is a preparation checklist to get ready for a Panda-Can Delivery:
- Choose the best intended location for the trailer.
- Clean off any and all debris from roadway
- Mark anything you want the driver to see
- Be sure to notify us as to where you would like the trailer placed.
What happens if I fill the trailer too quickly or need to make a second trip?
If a customer fills the trailer faster than expected or underestimates the amount of waste, they may request we dump the trailer and re-deliver. Be prepared to explain options for swapping trailers, adding additional days to your rental agreement, or adjusting the price which is based on the cost of each drop off to the transfer station.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open from 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Sunday. Holiday hours may vary, so please call or check our website for specific information on those dates.
What types of waste can I dispose of in a Panda-Can dump trailer?
Customers may safely load the dump trailer with materials such as household waste, construction debris, yard waste, and furniture items. The items that are not allowed include all hazardous materials or chemicals, mattresses, paint, concrete (cured or uncured), batteries, heavy equipment, and tires.
If you would like to load landscape stone or mulch please let us know ahead of time. The height of our walls may cause damage to the trailer if anything is dumped from a Bobcat or skid steer.
Please call about loading any home appliances or electronics.
How long can I rent the dump trailer for?
We offering renters the flexibility of one-day, 3-day weekend rentals, and longer-term rentals. We can also extend the rental period if there is availability in our rental schedule.
How does Panda Can ensure that my driveway or property won’t get damaged?
Our business focuses on protecting your hard surfaces, damage is prevented by only using highway approved equipment to deliver and pick up the trailer and by keeping the trailer well-maintained with tires, brakes, and hydraulic systems. All of our drivers are highly skilled as well being sure to park the trailer in the very best place to minimize damage.
The weight of the load and loading the trailer evenly will determine the likelihood of damage to your driveway. On very heavy loads we may place wood below the trailer tires to more distribute the weight. In the end its our expert delivery team, special equipment, lightweight trailers, or careful delivery process that makes the difference.
What happens if the trailer is damaged or my property is damaged during the rental?
We have Liability Insurance that covers damage to your property caused by our delivery team. If you are responsible for damaging the trailer than we will utilize a deposit that covers the damage or have the damage repaired and pass that cost along to you.
